Dreaming Big & Doing

For those who scoff at the idea of being a dreamer, I dare say you are avoiding one of the finer qualities in life. On many occasions, I've been told that I should stop dreaming of the future and instead focus on the present. I would agree that it is important to live within the present. However, it is dreaming that makes life truly great. It's within dreams that we think long and hard about who we want to become and what we would like to do. If someone were to peer into my personal journal, they would find a list of things I'd like to achieve. This long, spontaneous list is what really gets me up in the morning.

Even if I think dreaming is a key part of life, it is inconsequential without doing anything. What is the point of having a dream if one doesn't strive to live it? Let me tell you, there is nothing sweeter in the world than living your own dreams. I've found there to be two types of dreamers during my so far, short existence. On one hand there are those who only dream, and on the other there are those who actually live their dreams. I urge you then dear reader, to not only dream but endeavor to make your dreams come true.

I think it would help if I listed some of my most personal dreams. Upon reading them you may think they are unrealistic and impossible. Quite frankly, I don't give a damn about what people think. These dreams are my own for a reason.
  1. Hike the Himalayas.
  2. Climb Mt. Kilimanjaro.
  3. Visit every country in the world at least once.
  4.  Find a job that I actually love.
  5. Live in a European city filled with amazing history and interesting people.
  6. Eventually find true love.
  7. Make some sort of a difference in the world.
If it was within my power, I would make every person's dreams come true. Unfortunately, I can only wish you the best of luck in living the life you truly deserve. With that, I bid you adieu.
